Luminous Fiber Arts Needleworker

Needleworker is all about our love of stitching. A sweet blue bird has landed on a plump, velvety tomato pincushion. With a threaded tapestry needle in its beak and bobbin of floss nearby, it’s ready to stitch! Next to the pincushion is an old glass jar filled with vintage mother of pearl buttons.

This design celebrates the simple pleasure or creating with our hands and the quiet companionship we find in our tools and materials. Needleworker was inspired by my obsession with birds and my love of collecting vintage sewing ephemera, especially tomato pincushions and mother of pearl buttons!
